According to doping tests made after urine samples had been taken from all the horses won and placed on the President of the Russian Federation Stakes Day, four horses tested positive.
According to doping tests made after urine samples had been taken from all the
horses won and placed on the President of the Russian Federation Stakes Day, four horses tested positive for:
1. Codeine and its metabolite morphine. Horse: Gekhan (Akhalteke), trainer: I.Agamuradov (Turkmenistan), form: 1st in the Russian Argamak Stakes.
2. Flunixin. Horse: Kader Firtinasi (Thoroughbred), trainer: S.Zamanov (Azerbaidjan), form: 2nd in the President of the Russian Federation Stakes.
3. Flunixin. Horse: Ahbazan (Akhalteke), trainer: M.Karachiyev, form: 1st in the Kavkaz Stakes.
4. Fenilbutazon and its metabolite oxyphenbutazon. Horse: Efedin (Thoroughbred), trainer: S.Kolesnikov, form: 1st in the Pyatigorsk Racetrack Stakes.
Under order of the Pyatigorsk Hippodrome these horses are disqualified and
their trainers are suspended for 1 year.
